Writing for the Seasons Part 2: Summer

This class is the second of four writing classes in the Writing for the Seasons Series with Vanessa Mártir. These two hour sessions are scheduled for the first day of each season (spring, summer, fall & winter).

This class is scheduled for the first day of summer in the northern hemisphere (the Summer Solstice), on June 21st, 7-9pm EST, and will be held via zoom.

The theme of this class is FREEDOM, since the summer means the kids are out of school, summer Fridays are in full effect, we can liberate ourselves of all those layers of clothes, and we are free to venture out into the warm world, the beaches, parks, lakes, festivals, etc. (in a COVID safe way, please).

A few days before the class, I will send participants a list of readings, inspired by summer and the theme of FREEDOM. These readings will serve to inspire and lead us into writing prompts I will provide.

The hope is that writers will come ready to write. We are here to to write and be in community.

The suggested donation is $30. You can send more, less or nothing at all. No one will be turned away. Proceeds will help fund scholarships for upcoming tuition-based Writing Our Lives classes including the upcoming Writing the Mother Wound One-Day Intensive, scheduled for July 30th, 7-9pm EST.

If you’re interested in registering or have questions, email writingourlivesworkshop@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
